The German Leopard 2A5 main battle tank is a significantly upgraded version of the Leopard 2, introduced in 1990. By 1998, the Leopard 2A5 was hailed as the best main battle tank in the world. It offers enhanced armor protection compared to its predecessor, with a turret equipped with additional wedge-shaped modular armor and add-on modular armor panels at the front of the hull. These armor modules can be easily replaced in the field. The vehicle also features new side skirts and an interior lining to prevent spalling. Additionally, the Leopard 2A5 is armed with a more powerful 120 mm smoothbore gun.

For safety, two transmitter buttons must be pressed simultaneously to shoot airsoft ammunition. A red warning light flashes when the tank is about to shoot, and the firing mechanism can be switched off by a separate switch hidden under the hatch. A red rubber plug is also supplied for the cannon barrel when operating in non-firing mode.
